Ocean-going shipping in the Netherlands: numbers of ships and transshipment, 1980-2002
The transshipment of freight through Dutch ports continues to rise, while the number of ships remains fairly constant.

Developments in ocean-going shipping
In the period 1980-2002, the total transshipment of goods in Dutch ports increased by about 35%. The number of ships visiting Dutch ports has remained approximately the same. There is therefore more transshipment per ship.
