National rarity of landscapes
The rarest landscapes are scattered throughout the country. The very rare landscapes include certain polders on the islands of Zuid-Holland and Zeeland, and the Meuse terraces.

Current situation
Small areas of rare to very rare landscape can be found throughout the Netherlands, on the landward edge of the dunes, in the Veluwe, in the washlands and on the edges of the Meuse valley, and as tiny areas of Drenthe and Noord-Brabant. They also include polders on the islands of Zuid-Holland and Zeeland, which have distinctive reclamation patterns.
