More than half the farms that apply agrarian nature management methods receive an annual subsidy of less than EUR 1000.

The average annual subsidy for farms applying agrarian nature management methods increased somewhat between 1998-1999 and 1999-2000, from EUR 2700 to EUR 3100 for each farm. About half the farms receive a subsidy of less than EUR 1000 and some 20% receive a subsidy of more than EUR 5000.
The average subsidy per hectare of land that is subject to a management agreement is unknown.
