Guide to 'Waste management measures' section

All activities in society result in waste. The total amount of waste generated in 2001 was 57.9 billion kg. Well thought-out and efficient processing (or management) of that waste is very important for a sustainable environment. Society as a whole puts a lot of effort into the proper management of waste.
