Introduction
The experiential map is based on landscape characteristics that Dutch people deem to be valuable. The Dutch assign a high value to variety, and to the presence of relief, woodland and forest, trees, and other natural vegetation. Conspicuous buildings on the skyline, aircraft noise and busy motorways reduce the value assigned to a landscape.
