Introduction
Environmental factors can have a large influence on the state and development of nature. The environmental factors are being described in the Environmental Compendium.
What causes species to decline or prosper is often a complex of factors, so unless targeted research is done, it is often difficult to identify the exact causes. This is why the causes given in the Nature Compendium are so often qualified as "possible" or "probable".
